Just Choose Anything That Feels Good To Think About

There’s no “right” or “wrong” way to choose a good thought. Just go with whatever feels good to you in the moment. Maybe it’s something happy and positive, like thinking about your favorite vacation spot. Or maybe it’s something calming and relaxing, like focusing on your breath. There are no wrong answers here! Just let your mind wander and see what feels good.

If you’re having trouble coming up with something, try one of these ideas:

-Think about a time when you felt really happy and peaceful. What were you doing? What was around you? What did you see, hear, smell, taste, and feel? Try to recreate that feeling in your mind.

-Think about your favorite place. It can be anywhere in the world, real or imaginary. Close your eyes and picture yourself there. What does it look like? What does it feel like to be there?

-Think about someone you love dearly. What do they look like? What do they sound like? What do they smell like? Picture them in your mind and let the good feelings flow.

-Think about something you’re really proud of. What did you do to achieve it? How did it make you feel? Let those positive emotions fill you up.

-Remember a time when everything just seemed to go your way. What did that feel like? Try to hold onto that feeling and let it buoy you up.

-Think about a goal you really want to achieve. What will it feel like when you finally reach it? Visualize yourself succeeding and let the motivation wash over you.

-Focus on your breath and try to clear your mind of all other thoughts. Just focus on the feeling of breathing in and out. Let yourself relax into the moment.

Any of these things can help you feel better in the moment and give you a mental break from whatever is stressing you out. Just take a few minutes to think about something good, and let yourself feel the positive emotions that come with it. It can make a world of difference.
