One of the most reliefgiving things you could do is to be fully present in each new moment. Often when you feel anxiety, worry or fear you imagine what might happen later, or you feel bad about something that happened in your past. But if you breathe peacefully, and intentionally, while you quiet your mind and focus on right here, right now, you will release your negative attention and once you do that you will feel relief.
Worrying about what will happen or feeling sad about what did happen only ruins your now. And it is no one else other than you who can make you feel better – no matter what happened to you. How you feel is 100% because of your thinking, your focus, in each new moment. It is not because of what someone else did to you a day ago, a week ago, a month ago, a year ago or 10 years ago – how you feel NOW is always because of what YOU are CHOOSING to THINK RIGHT NOW.
Drop the victim mentality, stop your complaining and stop making yourself feel worse by replaying the hurtful behavior. Breathe intentionally everytime you begin to think about it, focus on here and now. That was then, this is now. No one is hurting you right now. Take your power back by choosing to breathe peacefully and choosing to be fully present. Be thankful for this new moment – this moment is your life!
