Intense inner pain and sadness – a practiced perception

Sometimes it feels like the world is a cold and lonely place, like your life is useless and you feel such intense inner pain and sadness. Those are the days when you should be even kinder to yourself, let yourself know that it is ok. How you feel is how you feel, make peace with it. Then acknowledge that it would be nice to feel a little relief and that you look forward to that. See this moment as a perfect moment to distract yourself with anything you can think of. You only feel bad as long as you think thoughts that feel bad. If you distract yourself with something else, you can distract yourself from these sad thoughts and when you do, you will feel relief.

It is actually a lot easier than you think. All it takes is 17 seconds of distraction and you will begin to feel better. Unless you choose to continue to think these painful thoughts. It is impossible to feel good when you think thoughts that feel bad – so that is where your work is: distract yourself until you feel relief.

But be kind to yourself! Feeling sad can be a habit, a habit of thinking. But even a habit is nothing more than a practiced perception, a practiced way of thinking. Once you begin to change the thoughts you think, ever so slightly, you will begin to see lasting changes in how you feel and what happens to you as well.

Abuse comes from inner pain 💖

I believe there is goodness everywhere. I believe everyone has goodness within. Evil deeds and hate come from people who are also hurting within. But the pain when you are hurting within can only be relieved when you do something about your own thinking. But most people are so consumed by this pain and feel so powerless in their perspective that they lash out in anger or become deeply depressed.

Many people turn to substances, food or harmful behaviour in order to numb their own inner pain. But the numbness is only temporary – the way to allow your mind and body to heal is by changing your thinking. That is where lasting change happens.

It is not a quick fix, it takes time and patience. One little step at a time. But it is possible to change. A habit is only a belief you have been practicing – and a belief is only a thought. The little daily thoughts have more impact on you, your habits, your limitations and your opportunities than you can even begin to imagine. When you start with the thoughts, you start at the root of the visible problem. That is where you find the solution. A little shift goes a long way. 💖

Just a short moment in a fantasy that gives you relief will sooth your body and mind – your every cell will benefit. Make this a beautiful habit you enjoy daily. 💖

More satisfaction in your life

Start doing things you really enjoy – every day! Deliverately choose to do several things every day that bring you pleasure in some way. It can be to eat that special thing you love and to fully enjoy it. It can be to enjoy a hot bath with your favourite essential oils. It can be anything you desire to do as long as you love doing it.
This is an excellent way to take loving care of yourself and since your every cell is always listening and responding to how you treat yourself, your body will benefit from this wonderful habit as well.
