The key to my happiness? Chocolate 🤣 🌹

For more than 15 years I have eaten 1-2 kilos of milk chocolate every week. Chocolate has been my way of soothing myself into feeling better.

When I was a little girl I used to mix flour with sugar and butter and eat, or candy, cookies… or anything else that was sweet that I could find. I even bought ginger bread dough and hid in my room. 🤣

When I had given birth to my baby girl ( in 2014 ) my desire for milk chocolate went away and I started craving Nutella instead. I ate more than 50 kilos of Nutella during my first 5 months after giving birth. 🤣 Then I got pregnant again (in 2016) and got a new craving; powdered vanilla flavoured sugar. I ate lots of it! For almost 2 years. Now my craving is mud cake – kind of like a sticky chocolate cake. I have made one mud cake every evening for the past couple of weeks now.

I have always used food as a way to sooth myself and celebrate the moment.

All meals of the day are delicious, freeing and empowering meals ❤

I love eating whatever I desire. It gives me such a feeling of freedom and empowerment. I wish I had known it was this easy when I was a little girl, before all my insecurities hit. But, better late than never. And most importantly – this way of eating is not not just freeing and empowering for me but for my two babies as well! They see how much I love food – all food – and how much I love my body.

What a brilliant way this is. And it works so beautifully. My babies follow their inspiration and are indeed loving all kinds of food. This photo was taken today when we were at Mc Donalds – nothing special, just a delicious meal like all other meals of the day. ❤❤❤❤❤

I follow my pleasure scale – what food do I desire the most, at the moment? That is what I choose. I eat as long as it feels really satisfying, when the feeling is not that exciting anymore, I stop.

I know my body is healthy, strong, flexible and fit. It can make excellent use of what ever I choose to lovingly give it. Because that is the key. You must love your body and love the food you choose to give it. It is all mind over matter.

I had a wonderful day at work. I absolutely love being a teacher! Best job ever. ❤

When I got home with my babies we enjoyed some strawberries together.

We had such a fun and playful evening I forgot to take any photoes. ❤ But now my babies are sleeping peacefully and I am relaxing in my bed. One of my cats decided to join me:

Look for fun, pleasure and satisfaction in everything that you do

Make today a day where you choose to do things that feel good to you. Eat what you feel most drawn to and allow yourself to fully enjoy it. Listen to what brings you relief and do the things that feel fun to you. Having a good day is all in your hands because it is all about your mindset. Choose to make the best of what ever you do, look for fun, pleasure and satisfaction in everything you do today and use any excuse you can find to feel good.

Afraid of carbs? No, I love carbs!

This is what my breakfast looks like. Two sandwiches with peanutbutter and jelly. I always have a big glass of rice milk with that. The other 7 sandwishes I bring to work – as snacks and lunch. (If I don’t eat lunch at a restaurant with my boyfriend like I did today: )

White rice was the foundation, then lots of gravy and vegetarian alternatives. Lovely!

When I get home in the afternoon we have dinner together – my plate is filled up with white rice, gluten free pasta or potatoes as a basis. I add a lot of gravy and veggies.

After dinner at home I always have two more sandwishes a few hours later, and a big glass of rice milk. Sometimes I also choose something else as a late night snack – it depends on if I get hungry again or not.

I am pretty much a carb lover – it is what suits me best. I always listen to my body and what I feel would be most delicious to me in the moment. I follow my bliss.

Your attitude about food and your body

I hear friends and people at work complain about their weight and their body. I hear them talk about food as “bad food” and “good food” and about themselves as being “good” and “bad” depending on what they eat. Why would you ever do that? Do you know how detrimental that is to you? Not only detrimental to your emotional balance but most importantly for your body and your health!

Your every cell in your body is listening 24/7 to EVERYTHING you say and think. If you think negative thoughts about it and condemn it for looking a certain way – or for not looking the way you desire it to – how do you think that affects your body?

With each negative thought you think about your body and about food you block yourself from seeing how magnificent your body actually is! You have an amazing body that loves and adores you! You will be in your body for as long as you shall live – why not make the best of what you have? Why not start loving yourself as you are – right now? Why not lovingly choose to eat in ways that you believe are benefical for you and what you desire? Why not compliment your body for taking such good care of you? Why not celebrate the fact that you CAN EAT, the fact that you can TASTE FLAVOURS and why not ENJOY what you eat?

Yes, why not ENJOY food, LOVE food, APPRECIATE the food you CHOOSE to eat? Why not compliment your body for being healthy and strong?

There are so many things you can do, right now without anything actually changing in your physical appearance, that will make all the difference in how your body responds to what you do and what you feed it. Ever think of that? THAT is such an important key and so many people would benefit so much if they started working on their ATTITUDE about their body and food BEFORE they even began enjoying all the other things they feel they have to do. Yes! ENJOY the journey. Make the best of where you are. Do what you believe will benefit you and your body – because we are all different. Listen to YOUR body, LOVE your body and ENJOY the journey. Never ever EVER talk negative about yourself, your body, your weight or food. THAT is something you can begin with right now and THAT is what will work like magic in your life.

Cozy snack time 🌻

I am enjoying my last days of holiday before I have to go back to work again. As always I am always hungry so I am having fun with trying new snacks. Today I chose sandwiches with avocado, lemon and black pepper. It was really nice and refreshing.

I am so happy there are only 5 weeks left until my next holiday week – I love being home with my two little babies. ❤❤

We are having fun and playing all the time, so the relaxing snack times are well needed for all of us, like now when I give them a few minutes with their ipads. 

And now we are playing again 😊. It is really cold outside but I think we will go out and play in the snow a little while at least.
