Yesterday was the most relaxing, soothing and safe day ever. It felt so good to be at the Spa with my boyfriend, it was such a soothing place and I felt so warm and safe all day. Best feeling I have felt for a very long time. 😊🙏
One of my favourite ways of soothing myself has always been food, chocolate and candy. Ever since I was a little girl I have over indulged in chocolate and candy in order to feel good. For 15 years I ate more than 2 kilos of milk chocolate every week. Every single week for over 15 years 😂. Crazy but neccessary at the time. Chocolate always made me feel better.
When I had given birth to my first baby girl I lost all interest in milk chocolate, literally over night, and fell in love with Nutella instead. That winter I ate around 80 kilos of Nutella 😍😍😍.
Then I got pregnant again and my craving became vanilla flavoured powder sugar 🤤🤤🤤.
Of course delicious food has always been a big part of my daily soothing.
I love crisps, cheeze doodles, after eight and mudcakes the best at the moment. However, I decided to take a break from all those things in December last year, and I have not eaten any of those things since then. Now I indulge in lots of food instead such as burgers, tacos and delicious fruits. Food is still my favourite way of soothing myself into feeling better. ❤️
See all those negative events as experiences that inspired you to now become stronger. Everything can be of value, it is only a matter of perspective.
You can choose to view yourself as a powerless victim, then you will continue to suffer for the rest of your life – because of your perspective. Not so much because of what happened, but because of how you choose to view it now.
Or you can choose to view yourself as someone who has gone through a lot of things that eventually inspired you to become stronger.
You can become happier because of the sadness you experienced. You can become more confident because of the insecurites you have gone through. You can become stronger and more empowered because of the weakness and powerlessness you have felt.
It is never too late and it doesn’t matter what you have been through – you can choose to feel better again. You are capable of dealing with everything that comes your way.
Your only purpose is to be yourself. Allow yourself to feel as you feel, to be as you are and to desire as you desire. Be kinder to yourself. 🌹
