A beautiful way to deal with negative emotions

Try this today: just be aware of how you feel and what you think and say. Whenever you notice that you begin to speak, think and feel a bit negatively – ask yourself if it is worth giving up Life force just for this. And no, it is not.

Every second you spend complaining, worrying, feeling resentful, guilty or any other negative emotion, you break down your body, your health and you block yourself a little bit more from the joyful life experiences you desire. It truly is a matter of blocking life force (when you feel negative) or allowing life force (when you feel good – no matter how slight).

When you let go of the negative focus and allow yourself to feel better, your health and your body will benefit immediately. A healthy, and beautiful body and a truly happy life begins with your mind and the perspective you choose to have.

There are different ways of viewing every single topic in the world, you do not have to be negative, complain and feel worry or guilt at all. You can sooth yourself by leaning in a more general way and ever so slightly shift your perspective. This is the fun and exciting part about life because you truly are in charge – 100% – of how you feel and because of that you affect everything that happens to you. Now that is true freedom and empowerment when you understand this! And yes, it is a never ending journey – but you can begin right now. ❤

Take a break from all that you are

Take a break from who you are and who you have been. Take a break from all the complaining, and all the criticism. Take a break from pointing out flaws in others, and take a break from disliking yourself.

Take a break. Close your eyes, take a deep breath and relax. Breathe out all the old ways and breathe in new, fresh, positive, loving perspecives.

Give yourself a break – you have been doing the best you could. Allow yourself the ease of making peace with it all and start fresh and new in this moment.

“I want to quit my job” Yes I am very sensitive – it is a gift ❤

Today I got some hurtful criticism from my boss that brought me to my knees. At first I was furious because it felt so unfair. And now I just feel sad about it.

My co-workers were so supportive of me and tried to sooth me back into feeling better. They were on my side and thought my boss had acted without taking the time to get all the facts straight first. I used to think he was a supportive boss but right now it feels far from that. Even the thought of resigning from work has occured to me tonight.

But, I will work on regaining my emotional balance again by focusing on the bigger picture. He really does mean well. He really does know I do a great job. He cares about his teachers, he wants them to feel satisfied with their work. I do feel rather good about having him as my boss. He cares a lot about his students. He wants our students to succeed and feel good. He also wants to do a good job and meet the expectations of others. I think I understand him now, I see the bigger picture. I really do value his caring and his decisiveness. 🌹

It does feel better. I feel like I can breathe again. Writing is one of the best ways I know to find relief and feel better.

  • How do you deal with criticism?

Choosing a more hopeful perspective, even though you are afraid – that is where magic happens!

There is such amazing magic in deliberately choosing your thoughts. You don’t have to complain or point out flaws more than just a brief moment, you can move on from the experience by directing your focus on what you now know you prefer and how you now know you want to feel.

Regurgitation of what happens to you is not a skill – it is simple sloppy focus. Easily done but not empowering! Choosing a slightly different perspective, even though it would be easier to complain… choosing a more general perspectice, even though it would be easier to criticise… choosing a more hopeful perspective, even though you are afraid… choosing a more reliefgiving perspective, even though you are sad… now that takes skill and that is both freeing and enpowering. Not only will you feel better while you practice this, you will affect everything that happens to you as well.

Even a small light in a dark room can make all the difference

There will always be those who disagree with you. There will always be those who dislike you and what you do. Let them.

Don’t meet fire with more fire, hate with more hate. That only fuels the negativity. Let it be.

Keep following what you believe is good. Keep honoring yourself and others by choosing love and compassion even though you are met with hate and criticism.

Someone has to slow the negative momentum, and it might as well be you. Even a small light in a dark room can make all the difference.

Love, joy, confidence, hate, criticism, insecurity – it is all an inside job ❤

No one else needs to approve of you – only you. Their criticism and disapproval says more about them and their inner strenght and weaknesses than you.

A truly empowered being who is filled with love in his/her heart would never ever put anyone else down in any way by words or action. All negativity comes from inner pain, even if they can justify why they criticise. A critical perspective is a lackful perspective and it comes from the eyes of the beholder.

There is value, beauty and goodness to be seen everywhere, in everyone and in everything. You have the power to be selective in your focus and you can even let the negative aspects you see, inspire you to focus more clearly on what you prefer. So all things can be reasons to focus in joyful and loving ways.

Never let the negativity from another bring you down. Remember that they are hurting within, even if they are not aware of it. Choose to see past their negativity, let them be and know that they too have an inner guidance that will guide them if they only want to listen. That is not your job. Change is an inside job. Love is an inside job. Confidence is an inside job. Happiness is an inside job. Everything is an inside job – their negativity and criticism is too. ❤

Continue being the shining inspiring light of joy and love that you are, and those who are ready to feel better will listen. 🌹❤

Dare to disapoint! ❤

You don’t have to put on a mask in front of other people and pretend to be happy and positive when you are not.

I know it is tempting to behave in ways that please others – but don’t forget yourself and how you feel at the same time. Honor yourself and your body by being true to who you want to be. Never do or say something that feels off to you, just because it is was society expects you to do and say. Dare to disappoint! Dare to be different! Dare to value yourself and your emotional wellbeing, first.

The love and approval you seek 🌼

It is ok for you to withdraw from the chatter around you and sooth yourself back into relief.

Sometimes the best clairity is found when you quiet your mind and allow yourself to relax in your solitude. You are valuable and unique, and the love and approval you seek does not come from external sources, it comes from within. Withdraw for a while to find your balance again. ❤

Unwanted experiences – experiences that strenghten you

Everything we go through has the potential of making us stronger, happier and more empowered if we choose to let it. No matter what has happened. ❤

You are never a helpless victim with no choice. You always have the choice of how you look at what happened, and that will make all the difference in your life from now on. Sexual abuse? Mental abuse? Physical abuse? Bullying? Heart break? Deadly diseases? Eating disorders? You name it. It doesn’t matter how seemingly small or big the issue might be, you can always choose your perspective of the experience, you can always lovingly support yourself and sooth yourself into relief. Little by little you can turn your entire thinking around – and therfore your emotions around – and that is when magic starts to happen. ❤

You can go through what ever it is you are going through while feeling fear or you can go through it feeling a hopeful. It is a very different perspective and it will improve not only how you feel about yourself, the experience and your life – it will also improve every aspect of your life. Attitude and how you feel matters more than anything.
