Your healing journey is yours to make. No one else needs to understand you, approve of how you feel or approve of how you choose to deal with things. Your previous experiences are very different from their previous experiences and therefore how you react to what happens to you might be very different from how they might react if the same thing happened to them. They cannot possibly know how you feel. Not even a little bit. They might try to logically understand how you feel as they listen to you – but trust me, they cannot even understand 1% of how you feel.
If they try to comfort you and be there for you – that is nice. But don’t depend on them on your healing journey because the cannot possibly understand. All they can do is be there for you, care about you and love you unconditionally.
The same goes for those who have bad intentions for you, those who want to hurt you again, those who belittle you and disapprove of you – first off, they don’t care about you – let that be enough. Why would you care about their words, thoughts and actions when you know they don’t even care about you to begin with? Lovingly let them be.
This is your healing journey, do what makes you feel better. If it makes you feel relief, it is good for you.
