When it becomes unbearable to be around people – find your safe haven and give yourself some mental rest πŸ™

It is ok to want to run away and hide from the world for a while. Find your safe haven, even if it is just in your mind, – and give yourself some mental rest.

It can be unbearable to be around people sometimes, especially if you are a highly sensitive introvert. Then it is extra important to be kind to yourself and allow yourself some space to breathe.

Excellent message! Every day I try to take a little “me time.” I’ll go to my room, stretch out on the bed, pet my cat and just breathe.

Agree… For instance, I’ve spent the last 2 weeks working very hard and being with people all the time because I’ve arranged a local music festival. Well, the last night we decided to have the gig in a theater due to uncertain weather. When the show started, I went into a theater box to enjoy the performance, in total isolation. Alone in the dark, no-one sitting next to me or talking to me, at last… I came back to life, believe me πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

As an HSP, this was a needed reminder today. It’s ok to retreat. I loved Aron’s book for HSPs:
