Just find one thing, one little thing that makes you feel better for a moment. Even in the midst of dark despair, you can still distract yourself from your negative focus by blurring the details a little and finding one little piece of something that feels like relief to you. It can be a thought like “I will get back home tonight and I look forward to getting back into my comfortable bed again” or it can be a comforting action like taking a long hot shower before you go to bed or listening to your favourite music.
No matter what difficulties you are facing right now, remember to be your own best friend through this – comfort yourself, sooth yourself and LOVE yourself unconditionally. This too shall pass, and it will. ♡
