Lizzie Velasquez

Lizzie Velasquez is a motivational speaker and author who was born with a rare congenital disease that, among other things, prevents her from accumulating body fat. She has been featured on several television shows and in documentary films, including “A Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velasquez Story” (2015). In 2017, she wrote a book entitled “Beating the Odds: Lessons From an Inspiring Young Life”.

In addition to being a well-known public figure, Lizzie Velasquez is also an advocate for people with disabilities and bullying prevention. She has spoken at various events and conferences around the world, sharing her story and encouraging others to embrace their differences. In 2012, she helped to create the National Bullying Prevention Center’s “Choose Kind” campaign.
